Darien Police received a report that a 2014 Subaru Forester and a 2012 Toyota Highlander were stolen from the driveway of a home on Archer Lane during the overnight hours of Thursday, Nov. 14.
The Forester contained a set of golf clubs valued at $3,000, $20 in cash, sunglasses valued at $100, paddleball equipment valued at $300 and an EZ Pass transponder valued at $50, police say.
The Highlander contained five pairs of sunglasses valued at $1,200, $25 in cash, various clothing and an EZ Pass transponder valued at $50, according to police.
Officers also allegedly observed tire tracks from where the vehicles had been parked leading across the front lawn and down onto the street.
The report further stated that a key ring holding keys to both vehicles and the owner’s home was left inside the Highlander, police say.
A third vehicle in the driveway was locked and reportedly undisturbed.
